At the beginning of February 2021. Which is significant month for us at The Loft Lounge, with it being Black history month.

We wanted to help support other black owned businesses and one way we managed to do that was by collecting donations for Hogan’s Alley Society charity. Hogans Charity is an local black owned non profit organization. Who are doing amazing work in the community to revitalize Vancouver’s Black community in Strathcona.

Black British Columbians have long endured erasure of our history. As a Black-owned business, we recognize that learning about our history is necessary in the journey to becoming anti-racist. Let’s continue to learn about Black history past, present, and future each and every day beyond February!
